OCTOBERDark tan arms
peeling from the moisture of autumn rains,
Crisp,
crackly, paper-bag colored leaves
delicately dangling from
branches.
Droplets of rain glistening on
wrinkles of old, withered
leaves,
slowly turning in the soft, cool,
gentle breeze passing down
the
avenue of orange-brown carpeted
streets and sidewalks.© drc 1979
